Why?

Our reward is to be a witness of how the interaction with the land leaves an imprint on beings entering a relationship.

Within the belly of earth seeps out her cradle of safety and support that creates a home for all. She takes no hostages for their ways but opens doors for introspection, Polarity and comparison.

We want people to feel safe to be themselves, to feel supported for any emotional, spiritual or mental need. To be able to work out their physical needs with their hands which make them uniquely human, to live with and from divine Gender, androgynous or polar.

In the process of opening the portal of acceptance we are gifted to see people as they are; authentic. This authenticity is the birth of creation, inspiration and narrative.

Cobberton not only wants to be a place to learn knowledge and acquire new skills. We pride ourselves in showcasing local creativity; all forms of expression that we so desperately need to move through this humbling experience of being an embodied spirit.
By engaging with the natural world, and being merciful to her lessons knowledge and wisdom can surface. Allowing discomfort to bring us insights where otherwise we lose memory of the journey. Rhythm, the ebb and flow we notice in this observation, gives re-assurance of life’s constant changes.

Joining hearts around the fire where the romance of music and harmony between people, kinship and common ground can resurface as it did in days of old. Kindling for the souls purpose is to tell its story, Vibration is our communication.

The principle of Mentalism constructs the universe we live in and it is there us to direct it. We can birth a place to experiment, free of oversight and judgement. Where the natural order of our living; Cause and Effect moulds and shapes the bonds that inspires us to leave at legacy.

A legacy where we don’t all have to own land, but one where we can work together. To feel how the time taken from where we started, to where we are now is only a small contrast in comparison of what is possible when the ripple effect of these regenerative places and spaces take off.

The same as we have at Cobberton, the future generations will inherit ‘wasteland’. We move to regeneration from neglect and hold space to be an example of the vision of potentiality. How we can take something that has been destroyed and abused to encourage new systems for the future.

The Correspondence between life and death; like a surfer catching a wave. The wave can crush you or the wave can be ridden. And even though we know the paddle back to the wave is long and strenuous, it no lesser dissuades us from reaching it.

Just as the ocean is a deep unknowing, so is the future of Cobberton Gardens. How and where we wish to go will grow through the hearts, visions and imprints of our collaborators and volunteers. Somewhere that is
a bridge between the worlds of the material and the imagination.

Aaron Custance aka ‘Doc’, Sponsor

I first encountered Mars and the land at an early fundraising event. I was astonished at the amount of work that had already been done with very limited means. I discovered that Mars, who was driving the project, is a highly motivated, highly principled and unusually capable individual with a vision for the future that far extended Cobberton Gardens.

She really believes, as I do, that there is intrinsic magic to be found in our connection to nature and land; and that by giving people an opportunity to work with it creatively as a community, small miracles may come. And small miracles here have had an effect of restoring not just the land but faith; people are blooming as flowers; the land exudes gratitude and love just as it is shared among those who experience it.

Once I understood the worthy aspirations of the project, I was glad of the opportunity to contribute both financially and practically towards its realisations.

There is a huge amount of potential still to be realised and I would encourage any potential contributor to visit and talk to Mars about how they could be a part of creating something lasting, beautiful and magical. Hard work it has certainly been at times, but on every level it's the most rewarding investment I have ever made.

  • Make a fervent prayer of what you so desperately desire for yourself and others.

  • Be creative and resourceful with how to make and manifest it coming into reality.

  • Do it with friends and strangers, for then it will be fuller than you would have ever anticipated.

  • The land is privately owned by a small group of friends and the predomintent care taker & leader of projects of Cobberton Gardens is Mars.

  • Cobberton Gardens is not a location where we have people to stay or live. The purpose of the space is to give it back to the community as a gathering space for social, educational and health and well being purposes.
